Dr. Taha, Hussam, CCFP
Our lead physician, Dr. Taha, graduated in 2002 from Al-Nahrain University medical college in Baghdad, Iraq. He pursued his internship there, after which he moved to Canada in 2005. In 2007, he moved to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador to complete his training in general practice and family medicine. He worked in Newfoundland until late 2013, when he moved to Ontario and worked as associate family physician and general practitioner in Mississauga. In December 2015, building upon his desire to work in an “all-inclusive centre, he established MediCorner. His vision was to be able to provide a wide range of services to the local Stoney Creek community, in terms of family practice, as well as walk- in and urgent care.
Dr. Hussam (Sam) Taha enjoys a wide range of practice with a special interest in minor surgeries/procedures, joint injections, fracture and wound care. Working with his hands breaks the routine of the profession and allows him to maintain a busy schedule serving our community in Stoney Creek, Ontario.
Passions and interests: Nutrition and fitness; for, in his opinion are the key to a healthy life. He’s a regular cyclist, cross country skier and soccer player. He joins fund-raising sponsored competitions yearly, e.g. marathons and cycling events.
Dr. Abdul Hadi, Deema, CCFP
A graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, 2004, Dr. Abdul Hadi moved to Ontario after working in Ireland. She completed her family medicine residency from University of Toronto in 2011. She is involved in family practice, walk-in care, as well as teaching with the University of Toronto. She also sits on many committees which promote Health program implementation. Currently, she works part-time in our centre.
She has a passion for reading and travelling. She has a special interest in preventative medicine, and promotes this to patients.
